My husband and I (and now the dog) have become accustomed to white noise from a floor fan. Only problem was in the winter I was freezing my behind off. We came upon this machine. It is the perfect solution! We all sleep well and none of us are popsicles in the morning. We put it on the lower sound control. The more elevated sound would be great if you're somewhere there is lots of noise. We're planning on taking it on our next trip as well!

I ordered this machine to calm my 8 week colicky baby and it was worth every penny. She went from her usual screaming to a calm trance in under 10 seconds of having it placed nearby. This is a must buy for desperate moms out there.

I have this for my 2 year old. It is awesome, blocks every sound and she sleeps through anything, the tv, talking, shower, alarm clock, or any other noise in the house. I feel confident that when I put her to bed, she will not wake up because of noise. Will be purchasing another one for the new baby. Can still hear her move and call out with a baby monitor. Actually, it is great, I can hear her noise machine through the monitor and it acts like one in our room also! I love this, and it is so durable.

We bought this item to use in hotel rooms when we travel. My husband and I are light sleepers and often relied on using the in-room fan/AC as white noise which often was unsuccessful and always inconsistent. After one trip with this product we are sold! We slept perfectly and consistently each night in each hotel room. The various speeds and the adjustments allow you to adjust to your desired noise level. The sound was neither too loud or too soft and very steady and consistent. We have only had to use it on the low speed so far but feel confident it will do the job on high speed next time we encounter really loud neighbors. I highly recommend the Marpac for sensitive sleepers.
